Apple Has Almost Completely Eliminated The Windows Platform Advantage – Business Insider.

This data point is a huge win for Apple that represents another reason why shares are indeed far too discounted for what the real future holds.  Analysts have been ratcheting up EPS for Apple every year for some time now.  They have been wildly off the mark and one might call their efforts pathetic.

Well once again 2013 growth is grossly understated as well as out year growth.  They will, as usual, update their estimates dramatically as we draw near to each coming quarter and year in order to play catch up on a story that 90% of analysts do not understand.  Why should they understand anyway?  They are financial analysts and not technology experts.

In the next few years the total Apple Devices sold will exceed Windows devices and then accelerate even further ahead.  Windows 8 will actually HELP Apple pull this off as consumer confusion over the new OS gives stalwart Windows users a reason to “get a Mac”.  The next few years are bright for Apple.  I wrote in my other blog post that perhaps someday in a huge ironic turn Apple will have to invest in Microsoft just to keep them alive as Microsoft did for Apple over a decade ago.  Don’t think it is impossible either.  Times are changing rapidly and Microsoft does not appear to be the winning horse in this new environment.
